Men's Division II

National Championship Game

#5 Andrews 69, #2 UC-Clermont 54

UNIONTOWN, PA - All-American Ryan Little scored 19 points to lead Andrews University to their first USCAA Men's Division I National Championship, as they defeated UC-Clemont 69-54. Andrews led by as many as 21 in a game that they never trailed.  Matthew Little and Tyler Wooldridge each scored 16 points with Little grabbing ten rebounds and Wooldridge dishing out four assists for Andrews.

UC-Clermont was led by All-American Travis Donald who scored 12 points and grabbed ten rebounds.  Adrion Gravies added ten points, eight rebounds, and four assists for the Cougars.  

Third Place Game

#8 PSU Beaver 88, #6 NHTI 71

UNIONTOWN, PA - After being tied at halftime, PSU Beaver outscored NHTI 56-39 in the second half to finish in third place at the Division 2 National Basketball Tournament.  Nick Miller led the Lions with 23 points, seven assists, six steals, and five rebounds.  Chris Weathers added 19 points and 14 rebounds for the Lions.  Defensively, Beaver forced 25 Lynx turnovers.  All-American Terry Williams led NHTI with 22 points and six rebounds.

Fifth Place Game

#4 Berkeley (NY) 100, #7 Southern Maine CC 74

UNIONTOWN, PA - All-American Jose Stable had another big game with his 26 points and 19 rebounds to lead Berkeley to a fifth place finish at the Men's Division II National Tournament. Jovan Bovell added 21 points for the Knights, who had five players score in double figures. Southern Maine was led by Jose Nouchanthavong with 17 points.  Berkeley led by as many as 31 points in the second half.

Men's Division I

National Championship Game

#2 Southern Virginia 83, #5 Ave Maria 67

UNIONTOWN, PA - Southern Virginia won their first ever USCAA Men's Division I National Championship, as they defeated Ave Maria 83-67.  The Jacobson brothers, Anders and Isaac combined for 38 points to lead the Knights.  With the score tied 25-25, Southern Virginia closed the first half on a 11-3 run to lead 36-28 at the half.

The Knights opened up the second half on a 23-9 run to lead 59-37 with 12:02 remaining. With 3:26 remaining Ave Maria cut their defecit to 12 but was unable to get any closer. Southern Virginia shot 57 percent from the field in the second half.  the Knights shot 26 for 35 from the foul line while the Gyrenes were 16 for 27.  Both teams combined for just 14 turnovers with Southern Virginia committing only five.

Derek Cutler scored 17 points and nine rebounds and All-American Spenser Briggs scored ten points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Knights.  Ave Maria was led by All-American Kiel Lewis who scored 24 points.  Marc Rozanski added 13 points and five assists and Jimmy Torney grabbed eleven rebounds for the Gyrenes.  Maria outscored the Knights 38-24 in the paint.

Andres Isaacson, who averaged 19 points per game was named Tournament MVP.  Spencer Briggs was also named to the All-Tournament team for Southern Virginia.  Ave Marie's Kiel Lewis and Jimmy Torney were also named to the All-Tournament team.  Spalding's Jamal Bacon and DeWhon McAfee were also named to the team.     

Third Place Game

#8 Spalding 64, #6 Lindenwood-Belleville 60

UNIONTOWN, PA - Jamal Bacon hit the go ahead three point shot with 0:22 left to give Spalding the lead and the third place finish at the Men's Division I National Tournament.  With 0:09 seconds left Lindenwood's Devon Weaver made an errant pass under the basket to give the ball back to Spalding.  Bacon hit two free throws to seal the victory.  All-American DeWhon McAfee scored 30 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead Spalding. Bacon added 18 points for the Golden Eagles.   Weaver led Lindenwood with 20 points and six rebounds.  The Golden Eagles scored 19 points off of eighteen Lindenwood turnovers. Belleville who trailed by as many as 17 in the first half, took their first lead with 2:33 left in the game at 57-56.

Women's

National Championship Game

#1 Ave Maria 80, #7 Penn State Beaver 55

UNIONTOWN, PA - In their first year in the USCAA, the Ave Marie Lady Gyrenes won the Women's National Championship as they defeated PSU Beaver 80-55.  In the first half both teams traded the lead seven times until Emily Huber hit a jumper to give Maria the lead at 33-30.  For the rest of the game, Ave Maria outscored Beaver 59-20.  

PSU Beaver shot 33 percent from the field for the game, while commiting sixteen turnovers resulting in twenty Ave Maria points.  All-American Huber led the way for the Lady Gyrenes scoring 27 points, including four three point field goals.  Fellow All-American Sandy Jenkins had 15 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks for Maria.  Cassie Kreiger added eleven points and five assists, while Emily Huber grabbed eleven rebounds.  

All-American Jasmine Green led the Lady Lions with 20 points and six rebounds.  Fellow All-American Heather Sandusky scored eleven points.  Ave Maria outscored Beaver 36-18 in the paint, while holding and 26-10 advantage in second chance points.  The second place finish for PSU Beaver was their best finish ever in the National Tournament.  

Emily Huber was named Tournament MVP with a scoring average of 23 points per game. Teamate Amy Myler, Jasmine Green of PSU Beaver, Beth Jamison and Eunice Gill of Spalding, and Cayla Stutz of UC-Clermont were named to the All Tournament team.  

Third Place Game

#5 Spalding 65, #3 Robert Morris-Springfield 49

UNIONTOWN, PA - All-American Beth Jamison scored 18 points and 14 rebounds to the lead Spalding to a third place finish at the Women's National Tournament.  Fellow All-American Kelly Herrod added 19 points and nine rebounds for the Lady Golden Eagles.  Spalding jumped out to a 15-6 lead in the first 5:15 of the game en route to a 65-49 victory over Robert Morris-Springfield.  All-American's Eunice Gill and Ashley Beal each scored 15 points for Robert Morris.

Fifth Place Game

#2 Rochester 49, #8 UC-Clermont 45

UNIONTOWN, PA - Kelly Burton led Rochester with 16 points as the Lady Warriors defeated UC-Clermont 49-45, in the fifth place game at the Women's National Tournament.  With 5:22 remaining, Burton hit a three pointer to give Rochester the lead at 38-36 and they would not relinquish it.  The Lady Cougars, who only shot 32 percent from the field, were led by Portia Cochrum with ten points.  Clermont led 18-17 at halftime.


Friday, March 4th

Men's Division II

Semifinals

#5 Andrews 61, #8 PSU Beaver 51

UNIONTOWN, PA -  The Little brothers, All-American Ryan, and the younger Matthew combined for 41 points to lead Andrews over PSU Beaver 61-51 to advance to the USCAA Division 2 National Championship game. Tyler Wooldridge added six assists and four steals for Andrews.  The Cardinals jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first 4:38 of the game and never trailed.  Andrews shot 50 percent from the field in the first half to take a 34-20 lead heading into halftime.  

After trailing by as many 18 points in the first half, PSU Beaver held Andrews to just two points in the first 7:51 in the second half to cut the deficit to six but could not get any closer. The Lions, who were playing their second game in less than 24 hours, were led by point guard Nick Miller who scored 16 points and dished out four assists.  Rich Gaston added 11 points and eight rebounds for the Lions.  

Andrews forced 18 Beaver turnovers, including 13 steals which resulted in 24 points Andrews points.  Beaver outscored Andrews 14-10 in the paint.  Andrews will play UC-Clermont for the National title, Saturday night at 6:30 p.m.  PSU Beaver will play NHTI  in the third place game, Saturday at 9:45 a.m.

#2 UC-Clermont 90, #6 NHTI 86

UNIONTOWN, PA - Adrian Graves had another big game as he scored 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead UC-Clermont over NHTI 90-86 to advance to the USCAA Divison 2 National Championship game.  In two games at the National Tournament Graves is averaging 30 points and 10 rebounds per game.  All-American Travis Donald grabbed 12 rebounds and had four steals while fellow All-American Maurice McGee had 18 points for the Cougars.  In the first half both teams shot over 50 percent as Clermont led 48-42 at the half.

With 17:05 remaining in the game NHTI's Bestfort Syla hit one of his six second half three pointers to tie the game at 52-52.  Both teams traded the lead for the rest of the game until Ian Gordon hit a three pointer with 3:36 left to give Clermont the lead at 84-81.  With :37 seconds left, All-American Terry Williams had a chance to tie the game for the Lynx but missed a pair of free throws.  Williams finished the game with 15 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.  Matt Cloutier added 19 points for NHTI.

Clermont scored 23 points off 22 Lynx turnovers, including 17 steals in the game.  The Cougars scored 18 fast break points while NHTI had just two.  Clermont will play Andrews for the National title, Saturday night at 6:30 p.m.  NHTI faces PSU Beaver in the third place game, Saturday at 9:45 a.m.   

Fifth Place Consolation Bracket

#4 Berkeley (NY) 86, #1 Vermont Tech 74

UNIONTOWN, PA -  Five Berkeley players scored double digits including, All-American Elijah Craig who scored 16 points, grabbed 15 rebounds, and blocked five shots.  Freshman All-American Jose Stable recorded his third straight double-double of the tournament, scoring 16 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.  The Knights shot 50 percent from the field for the game. Vermont Tech's All-American Kevin Simpson led the Knights with 23 points and four steals. Berkeley will play Southern Maine CC for fifth place, Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

#7 Southern Maine CC 66, #3 Williamson 63

UNIONTOWN, PA - Coleman Findley scored 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Southern Maine over Williamson 66-63, Fifth Place Consolation Bracket action.  Williamson's Reggie Richardson missed a three point shot at the end of regulation that would of sent the game into overtime.  Richardson led Williamson with 18 points and 11 rebounds.  The Seahawks bench outscored Williamson's 45-12.  Southern Maine will play Berkeley for fifth place, Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

Men's Divison I

Fifth Place Game

#1 Rochester 81, #3 Oakwood 73

UNIONTOWN, PA - Five Warriors reached double figures including, All-American Ricky Doran, who recorded his second consecutive double-double of the tournament with his 16 points and 15 rebounds to lead Rochester over Oakwood 81-73 in the fifth place game. Oakwood All-American Marcus Fitts led the Ambassadors with 19 points and eleven rebounds. Rochester head coach Garth Pleasant, who plans on retiring after the season, earned his 720th career win.  Coach Pleasant coached the Warriors for 38 seasons and won four National Championships.

Semifinals

#2 Southern Virginia 60,  #6 Lindenwood Belleville 50

UNIONTOWN, PA - All-American Casey Nye scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Southern Virginia over Lindenwood Belleville 60-50, to advance to the Men's Division 1 National Championship game. With 1:33 remaing in the game Nye hit a jump shot to extend the lead to five at 52-47.  Anders Jacobson added 14 points and five rebounds for the Knights.  Southern Virginia held an 16-2 edge in second half points.

After trailing 29-21 at halftime, Lindenwood came out in the second half came out and cut the defecit to 31-30 with 16:30 left in the game, but they were unable to get any closer. Lindenwood Belleville's All-American Todd Starks was the only Lynx to score in double figures, with 18 points.  Starks also had five assists.  Rashad May grabbed eleven rebounds for Belleville.   

Southern Virginia will play #5 Ave Maria in the Men's Division 1 National Championship game, Saturday night at 6:30 p.m.  Lindenwood Belleville will play Spalding in the Third Place game, Saturday at 11:45 a.m.

#5 Ave Maria 49, #8 Spalding 47

UNIONTOWN, PA -   With the game tied 47-47 and just 0:03 seconds left, All-American Kiel Lewis hit that game winning jumper to send Ave Maria to the USCAA Division 1 National Title game.  With 0:10 seconds left, Spalding's All-American DeWhon McAfee missed a pair of free throws which would have given the Golden Eagles the lead.  In a game in which both teams struggled to find an offensive rhythm, Ave Maria shot 31 percent, while Spaulding shot 30 percent.  Spalding scored just four points in the first 13:09 of the game.  At halftime Ave Marie led 23-13.

Trailing by as many as 14 points, Jamal Bacon led the Spalding comeback, scoring all of his 12 points in the second half.  The Golden Eagles benched outscored the Gyrene's 19-8, including 13-4 in the second half.  McAfee led all scorers with 20 points.  Ave Marie was led by All-American Dylan Fugate and Jimmy Torney, who both scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds each.

Ave Marie will play Southern Virginia in the Division 1 National Championship game, Saturday night at 6:30 p.m.  Spalding faces Lindenwood-Belleville for third place, Saturday at 11:45 a.m.       

Women's

Fifth Place Consolation Bracket

#2 Rochester 99, #6 Briarcliffe 53

UNIONTOWN, PA - Rochester jumped out to a 25-10 lead and never looked back as they defeated Briarcliffe 99-53 in this Fifth Place Consolation Bracket game.  Kelly Burton led the Lady Warriors with 20 points, including six made three point baskets.  Lexy Newsome added 18 points and eight assists for Rochester.  For the game Rochester made 18 three point shots.  Ifeanyi Ofili led Briarcliffe with 15 points.  Rochester plays UC-Clermont for fifth place, Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

#8 UC-Clermont 69, #4 Southern Virginia 53

UNIONTOWN, PA - Cayla Stutz scored 15 points to lead the Lady Cougars to a 69-53 victory over Southern Virginia in this Fifth Place Consolation Bracket game.  Cayla's sister Marisa Stutz grabbed 13 rebounds for Clermont.  The Lady Cougar's defense held the Lady Knights to 29 percent shooting from the field.  All American Mina Romito led Southern Virginia with 20 points, seven rebounds, and six steals.  Clermont wll meet Rochester for fifth place, Saturday at 11:00 a.m.    

Ninth Place Game

#10 The Apprentice School 77, #9 PSU Brandywine 69

UNIONTOWN, PA -  Tyisha Battle scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Lady Builders to the victory over PSU Brandywine 77-69, in the ninth place game.  Denise Hamilton added 19 points, five assists, and four steals for the Apprentice School.  Apprentice shot 51 percent from the field for the game, while the Lady Lions shot 36 percent.  Cashae Hinton led Brandywine with 23 points.

Semifinals

#1 Ave Maria 68, #5 Spalding 52

UNIONTOWN, PA - All-American Emily Huber scored 23 points, grabbed eight rebounds and had five steals to lead Ave Maria over Spalding 68- 52, to advance to the Women's National Championship game.  The top seeded Lady Gyrenes never trailed in the game and led by as many 18 points.   Ave Maria outrebounded Spalding 57-31, as All-American Amy Myler grabbed 16 rebounds, including eleven offensive.  Erin Murphy and Cassie Krieger scored 14 and 13 points respectfully for the Lady Gyrenes.

Spalding's pair of All-American's led the way for the Lady Golden Eagles with Kelly Harrod scoring 22 points, and Beth Jamison scoring 13.  Harrod also had six rebounds and four steals, while Jamison had nine rebounds and four assists.  The Lady Golden Eagles were playing their third game in as many days. 

Ave Maria had a 20-2 edge in second chance points, and held a 28-14 edge in points in the paint.  Ave Maria will play PSU Beaver for the National Championship, Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Spalding will play Robert Morris loser for third place, Saturday at 1:45 p.m.

#7 PSU Beaver 63, #3 Robert Morris-Springfield 53

UNIONTOWN, PA -  Jasmine Green was one of four PSU Beaver starters in double digits, scoring 15 points, to lead the Lady Lions over Robert Morris-Springfield 63-53, to advance to the National Championship game.  The All-American Green also had six rebounds and six steals.  Fellow All-American, Heather Sandusky added 10 points and five rebounds.  With 11:54 remaining in the first half Beaver took a 19-8 lead and never looked back with their lead escalating to as much 22 in the first half.  At halftime, Beaver led 40-21.

In the second half the Lady Eagles picked up their defensive intensity, holding the Lady Lions to 30 percent shooting in the second half, as well as ten turnovers.  Robert Morris rallied to cut the defecit to nine with 2:22 remaining, but couldn't get any closer.  Robert Morris was led by All-American Eunice Gill who scored 22 points and eight rebounds.  Jorita Wright scored eight points and grabbed a game high 14 rebounds for the Lady Eagles.  Robert Morris shot just 32 percent from the field for the game.  

The Lady Lions scored 25 points off 19 Robert Morris turnovers and had 13 assists in the game compared to five for Robert Morris.  PSU Beaver will play Ave Maria for the National Championship, Saturday at 4:00 p.m.  Robert Morris will play Spalding in the third place game, Saturday at 1:15 p.m.   


Thursday, March 3rd

Men's Division II

Fifth Place Consolation Bracket

#3 Williamson 70, #9 Miami-Hamilton 61

UNIONTOWN, PA -  Julian Stewart and Zach Tansey each scored 19 points as Williamson defeated Miami-Hamilton 70-61 in the first game of the Fifth Place Consolation Bracket. Williamson shot 51 percent from the field while holding the Harriers to 35 percent shooting. Miami-Hamilton made ten three point field goals, five from Will McCray who scored 18 points to lead the Harriers.  Williamson will play UC-Clermont/Southern Maine CC loser, Friday night at 7:00 p.m. 

#4 Berkeley (NY) 84, #10 PSU Fayette 67

UNIONTOWN, PA - All-American Jose Stable led Berkeley (NY) with 16 points and grabbed 20 rebounds as the Knights defeated PSU Fayette 84-67 in Fifth Place Consolation Bracket play. Fellow All-American Elijah Craig added 29 points and 12 rebounds for Berkeley (NY).  The Knights who led by as many as 18 points forced 24 Lions turnovers.  Joshua Thomson led PSU Fayette with 18 points, all three pointers.  Berkeley (NY) will play Vermont Tech in the Fifth Place Consolation Bracket, Friday at 5:00 p.m. 

Quarterfinals

#8 PSU Beaver 92, #1 Vermont Tech 87

UNIONTOWN, PA - Penn State Beaver had five players reach double figures as it overcame a 10-point second half deficit to upset top-seeded Vermont Tech, 92-87, in the quarterfinal round of the USCAA National Tournament. Trailing 56-46, Penn State Beaver went on a 21-9 run to take a lead it would not relinquish.  David McGarry led Penn State Beaver with 19 points.  Nick Miller dished out seven assists for the Lions.  Vermont Tech’s All-American Kevin Carr led all scorers with 30 points, including eight 3-point baskets.  PSU Beaver will play Andrews in the semi-finals, Friday at 11:15 a.m. Vermont Tech will play Berkeley (NY) in the Fifth Place Consolation Bracket, Friday at 5:00 p.m.  

#2 UC-Clermont 109, #7 Southern Maine CC 76

UNIONTOWN, PA - UC-Clermont's Adrian Graves scored 32 points, 21 in the first half to lead the Cougars to victory over Southern Maine CC, 109-76 in the quarterfinal round of the USCAA National Tournament.  Graves also grabbed nine rebounds and dished out three assists.  Travis Donald added 14 points and ten rebounds for Clermont.  Josh Mackie led the Seawolves with 19 points.  UC-Clermont will play NHTI in the semi-finals, Friday at 1:15 p.m.  Southern Maine CC will play Williamson in the Fifth Place Consolation Bracket, Friday at 7:00 p.m.

Men's Division I

Fifth Place Consolation Bracket

#3 Oakwood 64, #7 Marygrove 56

UNIONTOWN, PA -  Marcus Fitts scored 23 points and grabbed 19 rebounds to lead Oakwood over Marygrove 64-56 in the opening Fifth Place Consolation Bracket game.  The Ambassadors defense held Marygrove to 27 percent shooting from the field, while outrebounding the Mustangs 54-37.  Keontay Glazier led Marygrove with 11 points and five rebounds.  Oakwood will play Rochester for fifth place, Friday at 1:00 p.m.

#1 Rochester 62, #4 Washington Adventist 57

UNIONTOWN, PA - Michael Graham scored 20 points and grabbed 13 points to lead Rochester over Washington Adventist 62-57 in Fifth Place Consolation Bracket play.  All-American Ricky Doran added 17 points, ten rebounds, and four blocks for the Warriors.  Jaime Newton led Washington Adventist with 23 points and four assists. Rochester will play Oakwood for fifth place, Friday at 1:00 p.m.

Fifth Place Consolation Bracket

#9 PSU Brandywine 83, #12 Southern Maine CC 54

UNIONTOWN, PA - PSU Brandywine took control of the game early and never looked back as they defeated Southern Maine CC 83-54 in the opening Women's Fifth Place Consolation Bracket game.  Amber Chandler led the Lady Lions with 18 points and 11 rebounds.  Alisa Sweet led the Lady Sea Wolves with 19 points and 8 rebounds.  PSU Brandywine will play The Apprentice School for ninth place, Friday at 11:00 a.m.

#10 The Apprentice School 84, #11 PSU Fayette 52

UNIONTOWN, PA - Courtney Collins was one of three Lady Builders to score in double figures with 13 points and grabbing 11 rebounds as The Apprentice School defeated PSU Fayette 84-52 in Fifth Place Consolation Bracket action.  The Lady Builders forced 33 Lady Lions turnovers, including 23 steals.  Kaitlyn Novak scored 14 points for PSU Fayette.  The Apprentice School will play PSU Brandywine for ninth place, Friday at 11:00 a.m.

Quarterfinals

#1 Ave Maria 56, #8 UC-Clermont 45

#5 Spalding 67, #4 Southern Virginia 50

UNIONTOWN, PA - Led By All-American Beth Jamison, who scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds, Spalding defeated Southern Virginia 67-50 in the quarterfinals of the USCAA National Tournament.  Fellow All-American Kelly Harrod added 15 points, 16 rebounds, and six assists for Spalding.  The Lady Golden Eagles  jumped out to an early 10-2 lead and maintained their lead throughout.  Spalding's defensive pressure forced twenty five Southern Virginia turnovers and held the Lady Knights to 17 first half points.  All-American Mina Romito led Southern Virginia with 19 points.  Spalding will play top seeded Ave Maria in the semi-finals, Friday afternoon at 3:15 p.m.  Southern Virginia will play UC-Clermont in the Fifth Place Consolation Bracket, Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.

#7 PSU Beaver 52, #2 Rochester 47

UNIONTOWN, PA -  Penn State Beaver held Rochester College scoreless for a span of 6:47 of the second half, turning a 2-point deficit into a 12-point lead, and then withstood a furious Rochester comeback to claim a 52-49 win in the quarterfinals of the USCAA National Tournament. Trailing 46-35, Rochester ended the game with a 14-4 run and had possession with 1.6 seconds left, but could not get a final shot off. All-American Jasmine Green led Penn State Beaver with 20 points and nine steals, while Shelby Parks added 13 points. Rochester College was led by Sam Tomaschko with 12 points.  PSU Beaver will play Robert Morris in the semi-finals, Friday night at 5:30 p.m.

#3 Robert Morris Springfield 67, #6 Briarcliffe 47

UNIONTOWN, PA -All-American Ashley Beal scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Robert Morris-Springfield to a 64-47 victory over Briarcliffe in the quarterfinals of the USCAA National Tournament.  With 11:20 remaining the Lady Bulldogs cut the deficit to seven at 44-37, but was unable to get any closer as Robert Morris closed the game on a 23-10 run.  The Lady Eagles defense held Briarcliffe to 26 percent shooting from the field for the game.  obert Morris will play PSU Beaver in the semi-finals, Friday night at 5:30 p.m.  Briarcliffe will play Rochester in the Fifth Place Consolation Bracket, Friday at 9:15 a.m.

UNIONTOWN, PA – PSU Beaver had four starters reach double figures as it overcame an eight point second half deficit to claim a 71-63 win over Miami-Hamilton in the Opening Round of the USCAA Men’s Division II National Tournament.  The Lions ended the game with a 23-7 run. PSU Beaver's David McGarry led all scorers with 24 points. PSU Beaver moves on to meet #1 Vermont Tech, Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. 

#7 Southern Maine CC 84 , #10 PSU Fayette 73

UNIONTOWN, PA - Coleman Findley led the way for Southern Maine with 29 points as the Seawolves defeated PSU Fayatte 84-73 in the Opening Round of the USCAA Men's Division II National Tournament.  Matt Findley added nine points, seven rebounds, and five assists for the victors.  David Winns led PSU Fayette with 25 points and 12 rebounds.  Southern Maine will play #2 UC-Clermont, Thursday night at 9:30 p.m.

UNIONTOWN, PA - Terry William scored a game high 24 points to lead NHTI to the overtime victory in the first round of the USCAA Men's Divsion II National Tournament.  Bestfort Syla added 19 points and Mark Levielle grabbed 15 rebounds for the Lynx.  A late second three pointer by Williamson's Anthony Wood sent the game into overtime.  Zach Tansey led the Mechanics with 22 points and 13 rebounds.  NHTI will play Friday night at 9:30 p.m. against the UC-Clermont/Southern Maine CC winner. 

#5 Andrews 62, #4 Berkeley (NY) 61, OT

UNIONTOWN, PA - Tyler Wooldridge scored 25 points including the game winning three point shot with 0:04 seconds remaining in overtime to advance Andrews in the USCAA Men's Division II National Tournament.  Fellow Cardinal Ryan Little scored 18 points, as both players combined for eight three point field goals.  Berkeley's All-American Jose Stable scored 18 points and grabbed 21 rebounds in the defeat.  The Knights went the last 4:48 of overtime without a field goal. Andrews will face the Vermont Tech/PSU Beaver game on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

#6 Lindenwood Belleville 73, #3 Oakwood 67

UNIONTOWN, PA -  Lindenwood Belleville used a balanced offensive attack, with four starters in double digits to upend Oakwood 73-67 in the first round of the USCAA Men's Divison I National Tournament.  Dorel Sutherland led the Lynx with 18 points and six rebounds. Oakwood who shot just 33 percent from the field were led by Lanardo Bryant and Ronald Bushner who both scored 17 points.  Lindenwood will play Southern Virginia Friday afternoon at 11:15 in the Main Arena.

#2 Southern Virginia 83, #7 Marygrove 70

UNIONTOWN, PA - All-American Spenser Briggs led Southern Virginia with 23 points including four three point field goals in the 83-70 victory over Marygrove in the First Round of the USCAA Men's Division I National Tournament.  The Knights led by 8 at the end of the first half and held a comfortable lead throughout the second half.  Southern Virginia shot 49 percent from the field while forcing 17 Mustang turnovers.  Darryl Dixon led Marygove with 18 points. Southern Virginia will play #6 Lindenwood Belleville Friday afternoon at 11:15. 

#8 Spalding 69, #1 Rochester 56

UNIONTOWN, PA - Dewhon Mcaffee scored 28 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Golden Eagles to the 69-56 upset over top seeded Rochester.  Spalding shot 24-28 from the foul line including All-American Mcaffee who was a perfect 14-14 from the line.  Rochester was led by All-American Ricky Doran who scored 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.  Spalding will play the winner of #5 Ave Maria Friday at 1:15 p.m.

#5 Ave Maria 84, #4 Washington Adventist 66

UNIONTOWN, PA - Led by All-Americans Kiel Lewis and Dylan Fugate, Ave Marie defeated Washington Adventist 84-66 to advance in the USCAA Men's Division I National Tournament. Lewis scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds, while Fugate scored 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.  Jaime Newton led Washington Adventist led Washington Adventist with 23 points and four assists.  Ave Maria will play # 8 Spalding Friday at 1:15 p.m.

#7 PSU Beaver 68, #10 The Apprentice School 60

UNIONTOWN, PA - Led by All-Americans Jasmine Green and Heather Sandusky PSU Beaver defeated The Apprentice School 68-60 in the First Round of the USCAA National Women's Tournament.  Jasmine Green scored 23 points and dished four assists whileHeather Sandusky scored 16 points and  grabbed 10 rebounds.  The Lions led by as many as 19 points in the second half before The Apprentice School mounted a late rally, cutting its deficit to six, 66-60, on a long-distance 3-pointer by Ashley Johnson with 19 second left, but could get no closer. Johnson led the Apprentice School with 16 points.  PSU Beaver will play #2 Rochester, Thursday night at 5:00 pm. 

#5 Spalding 94, #12 Southern Maine CC 38

UNIONTOWN, PA - Jessica Little hit six three point field goals to lead Briarcliffe over PSU Fayette 75-57 in the Opening Round of the USCAA National Championships.  In addition to her 20 points Little also grabbed 14 rebounds.  Simone Thomas added 17 points,14 rebounds, and five assists for the Seahawks.  The Lions were led by Morgan Moluski who scored 13 points in defeat.  Briarcliffe will play #3 Robert Morris Springfield, Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.

UNIONTOWN, PA - UC-Clermont got out to an early lead and never lost control as they defeated PSU Brandywine 71-43 in the Opening Round of the USCAA National Women's Tournament.  Cayla Stutz led the way for the Cougars with 18 points and Stacie Lee added 10 points and 11 rebounds.  Sarah deBeradinis scored 10 points for the Lions in defeat.  UC-Clermont will play #1 seed Ave Maria, Thursday afternoon at 3:15 p.m.
