                -No commentary – 9:10

-Emerging sport designation

-Ken Nellis – 6 or more total teams needed to compete invitational? – clarification

-John View – 9:35 – Would the teams in the invitational have to be USCAA teams? It doesn’t specify in the proposal

-Video Exchange

-Phil Budervic – purpose of this proposal? For teams that would be selected for championship? Could this be used for the selection committee?

-USCAA response; it could be used for that purpose

-Third round for a golf National Championship

-USCAA; standards similar to other associations, improved legitimacy for the Golf National Championship

-Paul Hogan – How often do teams play 36 holes in a game?

-Bob Backus – The NAIA first round is 36 holes

-Jim Gastner – The PSUAC does not ever play 36 holes in a day

-Kenny Howell – Would that prevent someone from putting in a bid that doesn’t have two courses?

-John Fritz – Qualifying score in the PSUAC, slows down the pace, how can we do 36 holes? We’ve had late starts and long rounds due to the nature of play currently.

-USCAA; issue with qualifying scores is that currently all USCAA golf schools do not report scores. Better score reporting would give us a better feel for a qualifying score

-Bill Morris, We do 36 hole rounds, but there is access to carts

-Phil Budervic – I like the having 54 holes, really brings out the best in the golfers, many tournaments that have 36 hole days

-Kenny Howell – Would qualifying score proposal be team score or individual score?

-USCAA; individual – so one player could be cut on a team

-Paul Stone – If you have three golfers and need four to score – one misses the cut – we should still allow that fourth golfer to compete to complete the team

-USCAA; that has come up in discussion, a waiver process could be implemented in those situations to allow the last person to compete to complete the team

-Bid Day Proposal

-Championship Completion Discussion

-Phil Budervic – Is this played over weekends? That effects how long we want to keep players on site – start on Saturday?

-Vince Capozzi – Problem with that is religious affiliated schools

-Jim Gastner – Cross Country for example, race Friday, have inclement weather – then do we wait till Monday to run? If it’s okay on Saturday do we run then? – Opinion is to keep players on site until they can run.

-Kent Corey – Contingency plans in bid process, have these ahead of time, turf fields ready to go for example

-Paul Hogan – Expense as well as coaches with other jobs is a concern. Clear communication on site about what the plan is if weather causes issues

-Jeff Mallas – What does the NCAA do? Can we look into that and see what policies they use in specific sports?

-Paul Stone – NCAA has a different model than our types of schools, NCAA pays travel

-Pat Todd – Could the National Office help with the cost in these circumstances

-Phil Budervic – Should we take these situations into account when selecting a host site? Florida versus Scranton, Pennsylvania – should have a tarp on site at every location

-John View – Lodging issues if you keep a team longer – hotel could have another group coming in afterward and we lose our rooms

-Jim Gastner (9:35) – New basketball – USCAA is changing basketballs, PSUAC uses what the USCAA uses, but they don’t know what to purchase at this point.
