The basketball All-American nomination window opens February 9th at 9:00 a.m. (EST) and closes February 12th at midnight. The voting window begins on February 13th at 12:00 p.m. (EST) and closes February 17th at 12:00 p.m. (EST). USCAA National All-Academic team nominations will also open on Monday, February 9th. Nominations will be accepted until noon on Wednesday, February 18th.
For the first time, the USCAA will be awarding a Coach of the Year, Player of the Year, and Student-Athlete of the Year in basketball. Nominations for Coach and Student-Athlete of the Year and will be accepted starting on February 9th until February 18th at noon. The Player of the Year award is decided based on All-American voting by each division’s selection committee.
After nominations for Coach and Student-Athlete of the Year are received, a committee comprised of National Office members, board members, and member Athletic Directors will be gathered to select the award winners. Those winners will be announced during the All-American banquet at the 2015 USCAA Basketball National Championships.
The emphasis for the Student-Athlete of the Year award will be on academics and community involvement, not athletic performance. It’s encouraged that when submitting nominations for either Coach of the Year or Student-Athlete of the Year you fully explain the merits of your nominee in the space provided. The more information you can provide, the more the selection committee will have to base their decision. One nomination per school will be accepted for each award.

To log into the system, click this link. Your login credentials are the same login institution’s use for reporting and Player of the Week nominations. All-American Nomination Instructions
Once you login, you will be able to see all the available nomination categories. Click 'nominate' on the respective award you wish to submit (women’s soccer, men’s soccer, or volleyball). You will then choose your team from the drop down menu. If your team is not shown, please upload your roster into PrestoSports. From here you will see all of your players and their cumulative yearly stats. The stats shown are based off of your reporting submissions. Click the select button on the left hand side corresponding to the player you wish to nominate. Please nominate as follows.
Basketball: Three nominations per team will be accepted.
*To be considered for first or second team, players will be required to have participated in 75% of their team’s games. Those that are nominated and do not meet the 75% criteria will still be eligible for honorable mention recognition.
All-American Voting Instructions
At the conclusion of the nomination process coaches will be able to log back into the system where they will have the option to vote on the nominations for their sport.
After selecting the option to vote on an award, user will see the name of each nominated player on the left hand side of the screen. To vote for a player users will need to drag that player’s name into the box on the right that correspond to the level in which they are choosing to vote that player for. The levels of voting are First-Team All-American, Second-Team All-American, Honorable Mention All-American (notated in the system as Third-Team All-American) and unranked for player’s voters do not feel is deserving of All-American at this time. Voters should vote using the following structure.
Basketball:
10 First-Team All-America
10 Second-Team All-Americans
10 Honorable Mention All-Americans
When you are finished please press vote on the upper right hand corner to formally submit your selections. To see supporting information on a given nominee voters can click show details next to the nominee’s name. On the display that follows voters will see the player’s name, class standing, position, coaches’ rank, and their cumulative season statistics to consider in their votes.
