Registration now Open for the 2015 USCAA National Convention

The 2015 USCAA National Convention will be held at the Doubletree Downtown Hotel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from June 7-10, 2015.

The USCAA National Convention is an annual meeting of USCAA Athletic Directors, administrators, and coaches. The event includes Town Hall sessions on championships, ratings/selections and bylaws, business meetings, as well as professional development and social opportunities. Members are encouraged to send at least one representative.

Information on how to book your trip to Pittsburgh is available on the newly launched Convention website. Attendees can register for the event, book their rooms, and view a schedule of events for the 2015 National Convention on the website. Additional features include links to the legislation and town hall proposal forms, Board of Director nominations forms, the USCAA’s scheduling message board, Directors' Cup standings, and more.

Prior to April 15th, the cost of Convention registration is $190. Additionally, guests (spouses and children) are invited and can purchase meal tickets for an additional cost. A meal ticket gives guests access to lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as the welcome social at the Doubletree Hotel on Monday night. Rooms at the Doubletree start at $135 a night for a king or two double bed room. Rooms must be booked by May 9th to get the USCAA’s group rate.
 
This year’s convention features several unique professional develop topics important to sports administrators. They include broadcasting for home events, leadership development and choosing team captains, home game management, eligibility and recruiting sessions, sports nutrition, recruiting, and scheduling opportunities in the USCAA.

 

The 2015 National Convention will have two group social events. On Monday night there will be a welcome reception at the Doubletree, featuring dinner, music, and the 3rd Annual USCAA Cornhole Tournament, among other activities. Tuesday night’s social will be highlighted by a trip to PNC Park to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates against the Milwaukee Brewers. Tickets for the Tuesday night outing will need to be purchased separately on the Convention website.
