Soccer and Volleyball All-American Nominations Now Open

The volleyball All-American nomination window opens October 13th at 9:00 am and closes October 15th at 11:00 pm. The voting window begins on October 16th at 12:00 pm and closes October 20th at 12:00 pm.

The soccer All-American nomination window opens October 13th at 9:00 am and closes October 19th at 11:00 pm. The voting window begins on October 20th at 3:00 pm and closes October 24th at 12:00 pm.

The USCAA will be utilizing PrestoSports' online awards platform for nominating and voting for USCAA All-Americans nominations.

Coaches can log into the system immediately to nominate their student-athletes in men’s soccer, women’s soccer, and volleyball for All-American consideration. Below you will find instructions on how to access and use the system.

To log into the system, click this link. Your login credentials are the same login institution’s use for reporting and Player of the Week nominations. If you are having issues with your user name or password contact kevin.wegman@theuscaa.com. If you are having any other problems with the system please contact PrestoSports at support@prestosports.com.
 

All-American Nomination Instructions

 Once you login, you will be able to see all the available nomination categories. Click 'nominate' on the respective award you wish to submit (women’s soccer, men’s soccer, or volleyball). You will then choose your team from the drop down menu. If your team is not shown, please upload your roster into PrestoSports. From here you will see all of your players and their cumulative yearly stats. The stats shown are based off of your reporting submissions. Click the select button on the left hand side corresponding to the player you wish to nominate. Please nominate as follows.

 

Volleyball: Three nominations per team will be accepted.

 

Soccer: Four nominations per team will be accepted.

 

We will begin using this platform to accept nominations immediately. Please see the timeline on the left of your screen for when nominations close and voting begins.

 

*To be considered for first or second team, players will now be required to have participated in 75% of their team’s games. Those that are nominated and do not meet the 75% criteria will still be eligible for honorable mention recognition.

 

All-American Voting Instructions

At the conclusion of the nomination process coaches will be able to log back into the system where they will have the option to vote on the nominations for their sport.

 

After selecting the option to vote on an award, user will see the name of each nominated player on the left hand side of the screen. To vote for a player users will need to drag that player’s name into the box on the right that correspond to the level in which they are choosing to vote that player for. The levels of voting are First-Team All-American, Second-Team All-American, Honorable Mention All-American (notated in the system as Third-Team All-American) and unranked for player’s voters do not feel is deserving of All-American at this time. Voters should vote using the following structure.

 

Volleyball:

10 First-Team All-Americans

10 Second-Team All-Americans

10 Honorable Mention All-Americans

 

Soccer:

14 First-Team All-Americans

14 Second-Team All-Americans

14 Honorable Mention All-Americans

 

When you are finished please press vote on the upper right hand corner to formally submit your selections. To see supporting information on a given nominee voters can click show details next to the nominee’s name. On the display that follows voters will see the player’s name, class standing, position, coaches’ rank, and their cumulative season statistics to consider in their votes.

 

*For soccer, a specific selection format will be implemented for first and second team All-American selections (shown below). Honorable Mention All-Americans will still be at the discretion of the selection committee in terms of position and number of players awarded. Your votes should represent the format specified below.

USCAA Coach of the Year and Student-Athlete of the Year Nomination Instructions

USCAA Coach of the Year: This award will be open to all women's soccer, men's soccer, and volleyball coaches. One coach will be selected as the award recipient each year in each USCAA sport.  Athletic Directors and coaches will be allowed to nominate, but only one nomination will be accepted per school. The award will be selected by a committee comprised of National Office members, board members, and member Athletic Directors.

USCAA Student-Athlete of the Year: This award will be open to all women's soccer, men's soccer, and volleyball coaches. One player will be selected as the award recipient each year in each USCAA sport. The nomination process will take place through the USCAA award system, and schools will be allowed to nominate one player per sport. The emphasis of this award is going to be on academics and community involvement, versus athletic performance. The award winner will be selected by a committee comprised of National Office members, board members, and member Athletic Directors.

Nominations for USCAA Coach of the Year and Student-Athlete of the Year will be accepted between Monday, October 13th and Monday, October 20th at 12:00pm for volleyball. 

Nominations for USCAA Coach of the Year and Student-Athlete of the Year will be accepted between Monday, October 13th and Friday, October 24th for men's and women's soccer.
