With baseball and softball season underway, please make note of the following spring dates. Over the next several weeks the USCAA will be distributing out information on the Baseball and Softball National Championships and 2015 USCAA National Convention.
April 3rd – First coaches poll for baseball and softball
The first week of the coaches poll for baseball and softball will be publicized. The poll lasts five weeks, leading up to bid day.
April 15th – Baseball and Softball All-American, National All-Academic, and End of the Year Award Nominations Opened
On this date schools will be permitted to submit nominations for baseball and softball players they feel are deserving of All-American consideration. Furthermore, nominations for National All-Academic and End of the Year Awards (Coach of the Year and Student Athlete of the Year) begin.
April 22nd – Baseball and softball All-American Nominations end, All-American voting begins
After this date nominations for All-Americans will no longer be accepted. An exact time will be communicated in the coming weeks. Please have all nominations submitted prior to this date.
April 27th – Baseball and softball All-American voting ends
Voting for All-Americans ends on this day. This is an important part of the selection of USCAA All-Americans, as the voting results are weighted highly. All schools are encouraged to submit votes for those they believe are worthy of All-American status.
April 29th – National All-Academic and End of the Year Awards Ends
After this dates nominations for National All-Academic and End of the Year awards end. Nominations after this date will not be accepted.
May 1st – Bid day for Baseball and Softball
Bids for the USCAA Baseball and Softball National Championships will be announced on this date. Bid selections will be announced by video on the USCAA website. Softball will air at 5:00 PM EST and Baseball will follow at 5:30 PM EST.
May 10th – Softball National Championships begin
The USCAA Baseball National Championship is hosted by the Akron Racers and Penn State Beaver in Akron, Ohio. The tournament runs through May 14th and will be played at Firestone Stadium.
May 12th – USCAA Baseball National Championships begins
The USCAA Baseball National Championship is hosted by The Apprentice School in Hampton, Virginia. The tournament runs through May 16th and will be played at War Memorial Stadium.
June 8th – USCAA National Convention begins
The National Convention returns to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the Doubletree Downtown Hotel. The dates are June 8th-10th.
