USCAA Helping the Fight Against Breast Cancer

The United States Collegiate Athletic Association is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month by selling Susan G. Komen towels and cinch bags during the 2014 USCAA Volleyball National Championship. The championship will be held at the campus of SUNY Canton from October 29th to November 1st.

In 2014 there will be an estimated 232,670 new cases of invasive breast cancer for women in the United States alone. Sadly 40,000 of those cases will be fatal.  This number has decreased over the past several decades due to an improvement in technology and earlier detection.

In 2013, Susan G. Komen helped over 50,000 families financially and socially who had been impacted by breast cancer. Along with helping families in the United States they continue to help families across the globe while still providing money for research with the hopes of finding a cure. They have also helped with breast cancer in males.

The towels and cinch bags will be sold for $10 during the duration of the tournament. All proceeds will go directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. There will also be a donation bucket for guests to donate. Please join the USCAA and the Susan G. Komen foundation in helping cure breast cancer by purchasing a towel or cinch bag during the 2014 USCAA Volleyball National Championship.
