USCAA Announces It Will Name Inaugural Hall of Fame in 2017

Norfolk, VA – The United States Collegiate Athletic Association is proud to announce that it will open its first ever Hall of Fame in 2017.  The Hall of Fame will consist of two classes.  The first will be a Legacy Class which will be announced in early 2017.  This class will be made up of the top contributors in the National Little College Athletic Association and National Small College Athletic Association, spanning 1966-2000.  The second class will be the USCAA Hall of Fame inductees, including top players, coaches, and meritorious contributors in the history of the USCAA, spanning 2001-present.  This shall be the highest honor that an individual can receive in the USCAA. 

The inaugural class of Legacy Hall of Famers have been nominated by the USCAA Board of Directors and other historians of the National Small College Athletic Association.  The USCAA Hall of Fame will open nominations for candidates from December 2, 2016 – March 15, 2017.  Nomination guidelines can be found by clicking here.  Nominations can be made by any USCAA administrator, Athletic Director, coach, or former student-athlete.  The selection committee for the Hall of Fame shall consist of all willing and able Past Presidents, with the addition of selected administrators from the USCAA national office and/or member institutions (who are not eligible for nomination).  The additional selection committee members shall be motioned and approved by the USCAA Board of Directors.

The inaugural 2016 Hall of Fame class will be named in April of 2017, with the Induction Ceremony being held at the USCAA National Convention in Norfolk, VA in June of 2017. An official date and time for the ceremony will be posted in early 2017.  Members and fans may purchase tickets/tables to the Hall of Fame Induction at uscaa.ticketleap.com beginning in February.
