Bluefield State Men’s Basketball Enjoyed Community Service at Graham Intermediate

On Friday, October 13, the Men's Basketball team played dodgeball and visited an on campus petting zoo with the students at Graham intermediate. The Big Blues coaching staff along with parents and volunteers of the students were used as referees for the dodgeball games. Coach Price, who was pleased to be back expressed how great it is to have that partnership and how it truly shows the team what being a role model means. "Hey, I'm just happy that we were invited back and that our guys get to be a part of the community," said Price. The players split into two groups and assisted the students as each class came in to play a few games. "I wish coach would show up one practice and just let us play dodgeball," said returning sophomore James Moreland. The team did this same event last year and also enjoyed the new addition of the petting zoo outside the playground area. The men's basketball team completed the most community service hours last school year but if you ask them, going to Graham for dodgeball isn't a service it's a day to be a kid again.
