Career Achievement Award - Garth Pleasant (Rochester College)

The USCAA is pleased to recognize this year’s recipient of the Career Achievement Award in Mr. Garth Pleasant from Rochester College.

Garth Pleasant was presented with the award at the 2011 USCAA National Basketball Championships Awards Banquet on March 1, 2011.  In addition to his career achievement award the annual “Commissioner’s Award,” dedicated to outstanding achievement by a member Athletic Director, which is presented annually at the USCAA Convention has been renamed to “The Garth Pleasant Athletic Director of the Year Award.”

About Garth Pleasant

Garth Pleasant recently wrapped up his 37th season as Head Men’s Basketball Coach of Rochester College in Michigan.  Coach Pleasant picked up his 720th career win at the 2011 USCAA National Basketball Championships in the fifth place consolation game against Oakwood University.  Garth was also recognized for his outstanding coaching ability by being inducted into the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan Hall of Fame in 2008.  Garth continues to serve as the Treasurer for the Board of Directors of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
