As the final coaches poll votes are tallied, the last leg of planning for the largest USCAA championship continues.  In addition to the first ever Women's DII Basketball Championship in 2013, the event will feature a number of firsts.

In 2013, the USCAA has partnered with FayPenn, the economic development council of Fayette County, Pennsylvania to present the 1st Annual Fayette Hoops Festival.  The week long event kicks off with the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort USCAA Skills Competition at 2pm on Tuesday, February 26th.  The event features competitions in women's free-throw, men's and women's 3-point, and men's slam dunk contest.

Wednesday will be the highlight of the weeklong event.  A parade of teams begins at the Uniontown Courthouse at 6pm.  The celebration will not end there; from 6:30-9:30pm the town will welcome the USCAA, its participants, fans, and local residents for a Downtown Celebration.  Teams and fans are encouraged to visit local restaurants.  They may also stop by the State Theatre for family friendly Monte Carlo Night to benefit the Community Foundation of Fayette County.  Additionally, the Fayette Building will be open with local arts & crafts and live music.  The town will be alive to welcome the event and the USCAA encourages everyone to come.

Thursday and Friday will feature quarter and semi-final action on the campus of Penn State Fayette.  On Saturday Highlands Hospital and the USCAA will team up to host a 5K run/walk on the campus prior the the National Championship games, which tip at 12:30pm.
