The 2009 USCAA Cross Country National Championships concluded at host, NHTI this afternoon. Reigning champion, Dine College, once again captured the men's National Championship title, while newcomer Saint Mary of the Woods College won the Women's National Championship.
On the men's side, Nicholas Kipruto of Dine College was the overall winner at a time of 25:10, a full minute and forty-five seconds ahead of the next finisher. Rounding out the top 7 as All-Americans were Tyler Logg at 26:55 (Dine), Lance Williams at 27:43 (Dine), Alerin Yazzie at 27:48 (Dine), Mark Cordeiro at 28:05 (Penn College), Alec Zaremba at 28:12 (Spalding), and JJ Zaremba at 28:12 (Spalding).

For the women, Mannie Bizuneh of Saint Mary of the Woods College (SMWC) was the individual champion, finishing with a time of 23:26, setting a new course record at NHTI. Joining her as All-American was Steph Runyon at 24:32 (SMWC), Maureen Suchecki at 24:44 (PSU Worthington Scranton), Marquia Begaye at 24:49 (Dine), Steph Johnson at 24:54 (Dine), Amber Martin at 25:05 (PSU Worthington Scranton), and Jenn Shetley at 25:12 (SMWC).
