Ryan Scott was born and raised in Rescue, Virginia.  He was a 2003 graduate of Isle of Wight Academy and went directly to the Apprentice School.

Scott is in the top 10 in almost every Apprentice School baseball record that exists.  Scott was a USCAA All-American in 2005, 2006, and 2007.  In his final season with the Builders (2007), he led the program to a National Championship victory in Florida.  That season he played every game, batting well over .400 with a slugging percentage of .748.  He had 62 hits, including 19 doubles, 7 triples, and 7 home runs.  He had 117 total bases and 47RBI which were all team highs.

Scott boasts a 114-62 playing record.  In addition to his USCAA accolades, he was named All-State VaSID in 2006 and 2007, an award that encompasses all Virginia colleges and universities.

Today, he is a General Foreman for Huntington Ingalls Mechanical.  He was married in 2012 to his wife Lisa Scott and they share three children, Ashlyn, Mason, and Mia.
