THE USCAA WELCOMES NEW MEMBER, LINDENWOOD UNIVERSITY-BELLEVILLE

 

Lindenwood University-Belleville will join the USCAA membership for competition in the 2009 and 2010 athletic season.  They will compete in men's and women's soccer.   

Lindenwood University-Belleville is a branch of Lindenwood University, located in St. Charles, Missouri.  Lindenwood University-Belleville has predominantly been night school campus, but the administration has recently decided to move toward a full-time schedule.  It was part of the administrations plan to provide athletic opportunities as well as educational opportunities.  They are starting their athletic program in 2009 with men's and women's soccer.  It is the pleasure of the USCAA to help their athletic program develop.

The university will enroll approximately 100 students in their first full-time semester.  Lindenwood University-Belleville is in Belleville, Illinois, a town with a population of 44,000.  Belleville is approximately 30 minutes east of St. Louis and commonly known as, "The Capitol of Southern Illinois".

John Creer, Lindenwood University's athletic director is in charge of a large athletic program and he will oversee the start of Lindenwood University-Belleville's athletic program. He states, "We are very pleased to be accepted into membership with the USCAA."
