PSUAC Names "The Rock", Official Basketball

Newport News, VA – The United States Collegiate Athletic Association is proud to announce that conference members, the Penn State University Athletic Conference, have partnered with Anaconda Sports to name “The Rock” basketball as the official ball of the PSUAC.  The move was announced last week at the USCAA National Convention.

Anaconda Sports has been the official supplier of sporting goods to the USCAA since 2007, supporting the operations of the national office.  “Since forming the relationship, we have become part of the Anaconda team, and they have become part of ours,” states USCAA Associate Director, Matt Simms.  “The announcement that the PSUAC will name The Rock as its official basketball is a shining example of how great partnerships grow into even more beneficial business opportunities for our member institutions.”

The Rock basketball is a trademark of Anaconda Sports, and has been endorsed by the likes of Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim, Villanova’s Jay Wright, and the legendary Dick Vitale, who served as a national spokesperson for the ball.  The Rock also serves as the official ball for The USCAA Basketball National Championships, the Great Alaska Shootout, McDonald’s Boys and Girls All American Games, and the Jimmy V Classic.
