PC Saints Football Takes Part In Elementary School Assembly
Aberdeen, SD
On a day when elementary school students were awarded for their
display of sportsmanship, members of the Presentation College
Football Program were on hand to recognize their efforts. Saints
Head Football Coach Andy
Carr and three members of his team took part in a monthly
event held at O.M. Tiffany Elementary School in Aberdeen. Each
month, the school incorporates a certain trait, such as
citizenship, respect, responsibility, and this month,
sportsmanship, into their curriculum.
Coach Carr addressed the group of students, faculty, and staff on
what sportsmanship means to him and how he employs that in his day
to day coaching of the game of football. "It was a great
opportunity to spend some time with the kids and discuss how hard
work and dedication get us through our weekly routine. They were
attentive and enjoyed seeing us there."
Coach also brought along 3 starters from this year's squad. Seniors
Cullen
O'Brien and Sean
Haderlie, along with Junior Stephen
Braswell each had an opportunity to address the assembly
and share their thoughts on the definition of sportsmanship. "It
was fun and the kids definitely paid attention" said Haderlie. "I
was glad we were given a chance to speak to them."
Presentation (1-3) returns to action Saturday, 9/29/12, when they
host Martin Luther College for Homecoming. Kick off is set for
3:00pm. You can catch the action LIVE on the internet at https://www.ustream.tv/channel/saintsid.
