For the first time, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has recognized USCAA Volleyball All-Americans. The AVCA, an organization with over 6,000 members, has created a USCAA membership category and will now offer a discount on membership for the USCAA’s volleyball coaches.
As part of the relationship, the AVCA will award an All-American and Honorable Mention All-American team. In order for USCAA student-athletes to become eligible for these awards, their coach will need to have an active membership with the AVCA. All USCAA coaches with AVCA memberships are also eligible to receive the AVCA Team Academic and AVCA Victory Club awards.
The USCAA is encouraging its volleyball coaches to explore membership with the AVCA. The cost of a one-year USCAA head coach membership is $155. Other benefits of an AVCA membership include six issues of their bimonthly print publication Coaching Volleyball and its digital counterpart Coaching Volleyball 2.0, full access to our numerous online newsletters including Video Tip of the Week, Power Tips, and At the Net, access to the AVCA’s online career center, discounts on registration for AVCA events including the Annual AVCA Convention, and inclusion in the world’s largest professional network of volleyball coaches.
