2017 USCAA Track & Field Invitational Results Hosted by SUNY Delhi

This past Saturday, April 29th, SUNY Delhi hosted the second annual USCAA Track & Field Invitational featuring 11 members from the United States Collegiate Athletic Association. A total of 41 events were held during the invitational, attended by USCAA institutions Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Alfred State College, Bryant and Stratton-Syracuse, Cleary University, Hampshire College, University of Maine Fort Kent, Penn State Fayette, Penn State Brandywine, SUNY Delhi, SUNY ESF, and Vermont Tech.

The SUNY Delhi Broncos swept the field in both the men’s and women’s invitational. The Bronco’s men’s team finished with 262 points and the women with 233 points. Finishing second in the women’s invitational was Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with 128 team points. On the men’s side, Alfred State College took second with a score of 156.5. Cleary University took the third spot in both the men’s and women’s invitational, the women finishing with a score of 94 and the men with 84 points.

As the USCAA pursues growth in Track & Field, the association plans to continue offering an invitational tournament each spring. Next year’s event is scheduled to be hosted by Alfred State College. Schools that offer Track & Field, or are considering adding the sport in the near future, are encouraged to reach out to the USCAA National Office to become involved in future events and discussion on sport growth.
