Megan Anagnostopulos Hired as Coordinator of Marketing and Events

The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) has announced the hiring of Megan Anagnostopulos as the Coordinator of Marketing and Events.  Anagnostopulos will assist in the coordination and event planning for all championship events and coordinate press releases, championship previews, and member features.

“We are thrilled to welcome Megan to the USCAA,” states USCAA Executive Director Matt Simms.  “Megan is the perfect fit for our team at this time; she provides a unique background that will simultaneously benefit the student-athlete experience, enhance the quality of our member services, and provide diversity to the USCAA national office.”

Anagnostopulos is a recent graduate of The College at Brockport. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, while minoring in Business Administration and Coaching.  She was part of the Women’s Basketball team at Brockport for three years.  During her final semester of undergrad, she placed an internship at The Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, SC.  During her internship, Anagnostopulos worked directly with the front office on managing sponsorship deals and setting up schedules for the tournaments.  She also announced over 50 baseball and softball games.

Prior to college, the New York native was a three-sport athlete at Johnstown High School.  She participated in soccer, basketball, and lacrosse.  She was a part of many club leagues for each sport including the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball for seven years.  After her playing years of AAU, she continued to help coach her former team.

“I am filled with gratitude for this opportunity presented to me by the USCAA organization” Anagnostopulos said. “The amount of knowledge and desire to make this organization as a whole exceptional makes me thankful and excited to get started.”
