Lindenwood University – Belleville Takes the Early Lead After the Fall Championships
After completion of the 2010 USCAA Fall Championships, Lindenwood University – Belleville has the early advantage in the Directors Cup Standings. Lindenwood which competed in the Men’s Soccer, Volleyball, Men’s/Women’s Cross Country, & Golf National Championships accumulated 285 points and leads second place Florida College by 7 points in the early going. Florida College took home the National Championship in Volleyball and finished second in Women’s Soccer to propel them into second place after the Fall Championships. Penn College of Technology rounded out the top three, only four points off the pace of Florida College with 274.
The Directors Cup is awarded annually to the institution which excels the highest in a wide range of Men’s and Women’s sports for which the USCAA offers Championships. The Directors Cup was instituted in 2006-07 and Southern Virginia University (currently ranked 5th) has won the award each of the past four years.
