Members of the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Women’s Soccer team participated in a soccer camp at the Greater Binghamton Sports Complex in Binghamton, NY. U.S. National Team players Abby Wambach, Sydney Leroux and Sarah Huffman all participated in the two day soccer camp. ACPHS volunteers helped coach campers throughout the day at each station and during scrimmages.
At the end of the camp the ACPHS volunteers had the opportunity to play in a scrimmage with Wambach, Leroux and Huffman. The volunteers are very excited to return next year to work with the National Team players and campers again.
Freshman Brittany Fuller said, "It was a great experience. It was inspirational for the volunteers and the players to see that by putting in hard work you could potentially play at the highest level. Especially since Abby is from Rochester which isn't too far from Binghamton.”
