JWU Women's Basketball Meets President Obama in Charlotte
Charlotte, NC -- Coach John Jordan and his team were invited to hear President Obama speak this afternoon in Charlotte at ImaginOn in uptown. The town hall meeting began with an address from the President on his proposed budget, and then he took questions from the audience in a town hall discussion moderated by bloggers who support women's issues. JWU basketball player Donyelle Stuetley participated by asking a question, and the team was able to greet President Obama and shake his hand just before leaving the event. The coaches and players were very excited about their experience and the chance to mention JWU Athletics to the President. "This will be an experience our players will remember for the rest of their lives," Coach Jordan said. "I'm so happy for them and for the chance to promote our athletic department to the media."
