Barber-Scotia College Welcomes New Head Men's Basketball Coach

Barber-Scotia College has hired Dion Lansdale to lead the men’s basketball program for the 2014-2015 season. Coach Lansdale comes to Barber-Scotia College after spending the prior 3 seasons as Johnson and Wales of Charlotte’s head men’s basketball coach. There he led the team to steady growth and improvement including being ranked #12 in the USCAA. Coach Lansdale also has collegiate coaching experience with the University of Texas – Dallas and high school coaching experience with Eastern Guilford High School after many years coaching high school basketball in Texas.

Barber-Scotia College will be looking for their first USCAA post season appearance in 2014-2015 after restarting the program in 2010.

Barber-Scotia College basketball plays out of Lionel Hodge Newsom Gymnasium on the historical campus. Barber-Scotia College was founded in 1867 and has been a staple of Concord, North Carolina for nearly 150 years.

Eligibility Documentation Due

Eligibility for all fall sports is due prior to the first regular season contest in that sport. Eligibility documentation is required for all sports an institution offers, regardless of intent to participate in a USCAA championship, or whether or not the USCAA sanctions that sport.
