Judson Soccer Participates in “Safe Walks to School to Fight Childhood Obesity”

The Judson College Soccer team participated in a prep rally for the youth of Perry County to raise awareness to the rising epidemic of childhood obesity.

The event entitled "Safe Walks to School to Fight Childhood Obesity" was held on Saturday, September 25th, 2010.

This program was hosted by Sowing Seeds of Hope and the Perry County School District.

The event was highlighted by a parade through downtown Marion, AL.  The goal of the event was to raise awareness to the surrounding community about the rising epidemic of childhood obesity and to show that simply walking to school can help reduce the impact of childhood obesity in the community.  The purpose of the parade was to promote safe walking routes for the school children of the community.

The USCAA would like to congratulate Judson College on their continued efforts in supporting their community!
