Wilkes-Barre Picks Up Big Win vs. Mont Alto, Pushing Win Streak to 4 Games

The Wilkes-Barre Men's basketball team picked up right were they left off from a weekend road trip out west with a huge win against Penn State Mont Alto, handing them just their second conference loss of the season and pushing the win streak to 4 games.  

After an evenly matched first half with both teams shooting around 45% Mont Alto took a 2 point lead into the locker room. Heading into the locker room would be the last time Mont Alto would see the lead.

Coming out the half Wilkes-Barre utilized a 11-0 to erase the halftime deficet. After Rodney Christian hit a 10 foot jumper to even the game at 37-37, Wilkes-Barre never looked back enroute to a 77-72 win. Wilkes-Barre was lead by Chris Cantine with 28 points and 9 rebounds and Rodney Christians double- double leading 4 players in double figures.

Wilkes-Barre (9-12, 7-5 in conference play) returns to action Wednesday as they travel to Penn State Schuylkill for a battle of positioning in the conference.
