DELHI, N.Y. (January 30, 2018) – The SUNY Delhi women's basketball team supplied plenty of sparks for their home crowd Tuesday evening, totaling a year-best 104 points in a 104-68 rout of Davis. Tuesday's performance marked the Broncos' highest-scoring contest under third-year head coach Vicki Andruszkiewicz, with Samiaya Salley netting 31 points, Kiera Holland 25 points and Camryn McDonald (17 pts., 16 reb.) and Katie Herba (10 pts., 15 reb.) each tallying double-doubles.

With five games to play, SUNY Delhi, now 14-9, seeks to grab one of the four at-large bids for the USCAA Division II Tournament at Penn State Fayette. After hosting SUNY Canton this Saturday, the Broncos head out on the road for three games at Alfred State on Feb. 10, Villa Maria on Feb. 11 and Cazenovia Feb. 15. They will then return home for their regular season finale versus Central Penn on Feb. 17 before embarking back to Villa Maria for the NIAC Tournament on Feb. 23.

Apart from an early Davis two-point lead, the Broncos led the entire game, and held a commanding 61-44 advantage in rebounds, including 25 offensive. Eight Delhi ballers got in on the scoring action, including mid-season addition Liana Garry tallying her first two points at home as a Bronco. Diana Echols just missed out on a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds, including a game-high eight offensive boards. Erica Cornmire added four points with four rebounds and five assists, while Brianna Thomas tallied four points and four rebounds.

Delhi made 46.1 percent (41-for-89) of its shots from the floor, while Davis made 32.9 percent (25-for-76). The Broncos also held leads in second-chance points (27-13), points in the paint (52-28) and a rapid 36-6 advantage in fast break points. They also led, 20-14, in points off turnovers, forcing the Falcons into 15 turnovers.

Salley, a sophomore, now has 945 career points, putting her 55 points away from the 1,000 career-point milestone and 88 points from reaching the all-time school record of 1,033 points set by Jennifer LePinnet-Clark (2002-04). Salley looks to become Delhi's second 1,000-point scorer, and the second to reach it in just two years.
