Terrance Posts Second Straight Double-Double at Clarkson

Potsdam, NY – Junior Karyss Terrance (Hogansburg, NY) posted her second consecutive double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds as the women's basketball team dropped a road tilt, 90-66, Saturday afternoon at Alumni Gymnasium.
 
Brianna Sayer (Hermon, NY) finished with a game-high 17 points and added five rebounds and three steals. Taylor Saltus (Clintonville, NY) was the other double digit scorer with 12 points. SUNY Canton finished with 14 team steals as Sayer, Saltus, Logan Tallman and Tatiana Laroche all had three steals each. Caseylynn Fulton (Saint Cloud, MN) chipped in eight points and seven rebounds.
 
The Roos got out to a quick start leading 11-4 five minutes into the contest after a basket in the paint and a pair of free throws from Terrance. This would be SUNY Canton's largest lead of the game. The Golden Knights responded with a 7-0 run and would eventually open up a 52-32 lead at intermission.
 
Clarkson controlled play in the second half en route to the 90-66 victory. The hosts got a big lift from their bench outscoring the SUNY Canton reserves 45-9. Clarkson shot 48 percent from the field and 47 percent from three-point range.
 
Devin Sorell led the Knights with 16 points, while Ashley Loggins (15) and Cara Manfredi (13) were the other double-digit scorers.
