The Berkeley College New Jersey men's soccer team suffered a loss on Sunday, falling to the Monarchs of King's College (PA) by a score of 2-0 in a physical contest at McCarthy Stadium. With the loss, the Knights dipped to 0-4 on the season, while the Monarchs improved to 2-2-1 on the year.

Neither team was able to get on the scoreboard until the 70th minute when August Axtman would notch an unassisted goal to put the Monarchs on top by a score of 1-0. 14 minutes later – in the 84th minute – King's College (PA) put the game away for good when Liam McLoughlin would receive a pass from Ryan Romeo in the middle of the box and bury it into the net to give his team a commanding 2-0 edge.

The Monarchs outshot the Knights 11-3 while scoring on half of their four shots on goal. KC took four corner kicks, all in the second half, while Berkeley took three, all in the first half. The very physical game accumulated 44 fouls and seven total cards between the two teams.

The Knights will return to action on Wednesday, as Berkeley will take to the road to battle Penn State York. Start-time is scheduled for 4:00pm.
