Men’s Soccer Winning Streak Ends In Regular-Season Finale

MEDIA, Pa. -- Will Scott-Norris (Wilmington, Del./Mt. Pleasant) made 11 saves, but it wasn't enough as the Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team saw its 12-game winning streak end at the hands of Berkeley College by a 3-0 score on Tuesday afternoon.

Scott-Norris, making his first start of the season, made numerous big saves to keep the team in the game, stopping six shots in the first 45 minutes and five during the second half.

Berkeley scored on a penalty kick with under three minutes remaining in the first half and added a pair of insurance goals in the second stanza.

Brad Martino (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) recorded the Lions' lone shot on goal, while Trevin Jones (Springfield, Pa./The Christian Academy) provided the top scoring chance for Brandywine as his shot from near midfield bounced high over an open net midway through the second half.

Brandywine (13-2, 9-0 PSUAC), which rested many of its regular starters, clinched the No. 1 seed in the PSUAC Tournament last week and will host a semifinal match on Monday, October 31 at 3:00 pm at Maple Zone.
