Wright State University Lake Lakers returned home for their first home game of the season on Monday night against OSU - Lima. 

 

OSU - Lima 2 vs Wright State Lake 14 

The Barons and Lakers played an sloppy game Monday night, in rainy weather, at Montgomery Field, which was ultimately won by the Lakers by a score of 14-2. The Lakers scored 4 runs in the second inning and the offense continued to play well enroute to the victory in eight innings. Lakers starting pitcher Billy Lanman pitched 5.0 innings and surrendered 1 run on 2 hits and 2 walks along with 9 strikeouts. Lanman was followed by Riley Luebke, who pitched three innings of relief en route to seniors first career save. The Barons of OSU - Lima had 5 errors on the night, leading to 5 unearned runs being scored by the Lakers. The Lakers, also, had 2 errors of their own on the night.

The Lakers were again lead by Ronaldo Acosta who went 2-3 from the plate with 3 RBIs and 1 run. Billy Lanman had a perfect night at the plate (3-3 with a walk) and added 2 RBIs for the Lakers. Tristan Becker added 3 hits and Tyler Venters added 2 RBIs in the winning effort.
