Cardinals Earn First Win of the Season

Cardinals earn their first win of the season in a 12-0 blowout against Great Lakes Christian College.

Andrews University -- The Cardinals enjoyed an easy win, thursday, in a match against Great Lakes Christian College. Andrews took the lead from the start, scoring 9 goals in the first half. Bogdan Pintilie scored in the 2nd minute off a pass from his brother Victor Pintilie. Jordan Graham scored early in the 7th minute off a pass from Bogdan Pintilie. Daron Raynor scored in the 8th minute. Victor Pintilie scored in the 15th minute off a pass from Daron Raynor. Davian Ross scored in the 19th minute off a pass from Bogdan Pintilie. Bogdan Pintilie then scored two more goals in the 22nd and 25th minute off passes from Kaniel Hunt and Jordan Graham respectively. Ruben Maciel then scored two goals in the 30th and 45th minute, his second off a pass from Dan Garcia. In the second half, the Cardinals took their feet off the gas, scoring 3 more. Kaniel Hunt scored in the 60th minute, Cameron Burton scored in the 63rd minute, and Isha Mazani scored in the 69th minute. There was great sportsmanship throughout the game for both teams and the Cardinals showed great character with their decision not to rack up goals in the second half.
