The Berkeley College New York men's soccer team finalized its 2016 season on Wednesday evening, falling to the Ducks of Stevens Institute of Technology by a score of 16-1 in a contest played in Hoboken, New Jersey. The win moved Stevens to 10-5-1, while Berkeley closed out its season at 5-11-1.

For Stevens Institute of Technology, Daniel Aversano and Chris Cesario each recorded hat-tricks, while Jacob Ulasevich and Danny Nasti each scored recorded two goals apiece. Also scoring for the Ducks were Jay Mikula, Patrick Masur, Jimmy Doran, Nick DeFelice, Matt Perkins, and David Valian.

The Ducks dominated the game offensively from start to finish, out-shooting the Knights by a count of 42-1.

Masur put the Ducks ahead less than two minutes in with a goal from Mikula's cross, before Aversano increased his team's advantage to 2-0 three minutes later with an unassisted goal into the top-left corner. Mikula notched a tally of his own in the 23rd off a feed from Aversano, followed by Ulasevich's first career goal in the 31st to give the Ducks a commanding edge of 4-0.

Berkeley College did get on the board thanks to a goal from offensive ace Ali Dawha in the closing minutes of the half, but that would be the only shot attempt Stevens would allow as the Ducks took a 4-1 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Aversano opened the second session with his second goal of the evening, and that was followed by a tally from DeFelice three minutes later. Cesario would then record a pair of goals, catapulting the Ducks to an 8-1 lead with 35 minutes remaining in the contest.

Cesario and Aversano each completed their hat tricks soon after, before Doran tallied a goal in the 64th off a cross from Gerald Lamina. Stevens Institute of Technology would add five more goals to account for the 16-1 final score.
