Central Penn Blows Past Brandywine

SUMMERDALE, Pa. -- Central Penn College built a 25-point lead midway throught the first half and cruised to a 110-75 victory over the Penn State Brandywine men's basketball team on Thursday night.

The Knights used a 16-1 run to pull away from the Lions early in the game. Nine-straight points from Brandywine over a 61-second span brought the Lions' deficit to 20, but Central Penn netted eight of the next 10 points and never relinquished control the rest of the way.

Cyrie Spencer (Sharon Hill, Pa./Academy Park) led the Lions with 23 points, eight rebounds and four assists, while Terrance Quinn (Havertown, Pa./Radnor) knocked down four three-pointers and contributed 12 points.

Central Penn received 22 points off the bench from Andre Batte, leading five Knights in double figures.

Brandywine (4-8) returns home Sunday for a 2:00 pm game with Vaughn College.
