All five Brandywine starters reached double figures in scoring, led by senior Jilly Gledhill's (Secane, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) 15 points. Jessy Gledhill (Secane, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds, along with five assists, while Cashae Hinton (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) added 14 points, five assists, five rebounds and four steals.

Brandywine ran out to a 29-14 lead after one quarter thanks to 12-21 shooting during the opening 10 minutes, but Mont Alto chipped away in the second stanza, cutting the Lions lead to eight. Hinton drained a jumper just before the buzzer to give Brandywine a double-figure halftime lead.

A pair of free throws from Alicia Detwiler sliced the Brandywine lead to eight early in the third; however, Munro's layup nine seconds later started a 23-2 run to end the quarter, helping the Lions pull away from Mont Alto. Hinton's jumper pushed the lead to 20 points for the first time at the 1:49 mark and she later gave Brandywine its largest lead with a basket just before the third quarter buzzer.

Brandywine shot 50 percent (40-80) from the field and outrebounded Mont Alto 50-30, while forcing 29 turnovers. The Lions collected 22 steals.

Brandywine (12-7, 6-4), winner of six of its last eight games, hosts Harcum Thursday night at 7:00 pm.
