Delhi Posts Season Highs in Home Sweep of Davis

DELHI, N.Y. (September 21, 2017) – The SUNY Delhi women's volleyball team began their five-match homestand Thursday evening with a 3-0 sweep of the Davis Falcons. The Broncos succeeded with 25-20 wins in both the first and second set and a 25-21 victory in set three to improve to 2-8 on the year. The Falcons dropped to 4-2.

The Broncos posted a season-high 35 kills and eight total blocks, with Taylor Tsatis leading Delhi with nine kills. Sarah Clapper, Haylee Lefebvre, Kristen Maslanka and Emily Muller each had six kills, with Maslanka totaling a team-high 11 digs and Lefebvre totalinga match-leading six blocks, including two solo. Regan Hubner led the way with 27 assists and had four blocks with one solo. Libero Kyoko Shimizu added 10 digs, with Ashley Hintz, Hubner and Madison Saleman each registering six.

SUNY Delhi continues its homestand next week. The Broncos face Utica on Monday, Sept. 25, followed by Morrisville State on Wednesday, Sept. 27. Their stand culminates with a tri-match on Saturday, Sept. 30, where they will take on Maine Fort Kent and Paul Smith's.
