Albright Tops Brandywine In Final Regular-Season Match

MEDIA, Pa. -- Albright College claimed a 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-19) non-conference volleyball victory over Penn State Brandywine on Friday night as the Lions closed out the regular-season portion of their schedule.

Halee Kusner (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) paced Brandywine with 10 kills, while adding three of Brandywine's season-high 20 blocks.

Nikki Poissant (Aston, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) and Becca Civera (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester) both produced six kills. Poissant added a team-best 18 digs, while Civera recorded 11 digs. Sullivan Stark (Middletown, Del./William Penn) dished out 24 assists and added two aces.

Emily Battista (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) collected 12 digs as did Kelsey Zober (Havertown, Pa./Haverford). Hannah Sarafinas (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) recorded five blocks and Stark and Rikelle Taylor (Nottingham, Pa./Solanco) each tallied three.

Brandywine will play a PSUAC Tournament semifinal match at Rec Hall on Tuesday, Nov. 1 against at opponent still to be decided. The Lions claimed the No. 2 seed after finishing the regular season with a 12-2 league mark.
