MEDIA, Pa. -- Johnson & Wales (Charlotte) scored twice in each half and handed the Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team a 4-0 defeat on Thursday afternoon.
The Wildcats, who have allowed only one goal this season, improved to 7-0-1, while Brandywine dropped to 4-3. The Lions will now focus their attention on the PSUAC with their next nine matches coming against league foes beginning Saturday at home against Penn State New Kensington (2:00 pm).
Jalen Jackson, the USCAA's leading scorer, netted three goals, while Weeb Isaac closed out the scoring on a penalty kick in the 71st minute. Johnson & Wales recorded 15 shots on goal.
Will Scott-Norris (Wilmington, Del./Mt. Pleasant) and Joe Opdenaker (Lenni, Pa./The Christian Academy) split time in net for Brandywine. Scott-Norris stopped three shots during the first half, while Opdenaker made eight saves over the final 45 minutes.
Chris Riebman (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) tallied Brandywine's lone shot on goal, while James Cellucci (Rosemont, Pa./Radnor) and Mohamed Camara (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby) also posted one shot each.
