Lyndonville, VT - Lyndon State wasted little time taking care of business on Wednesday as the Hornets rolled passed the Women's Soccer team 5-0 in both teams' season opener.
In the second half, the Hornets were not done firing shots toward Vermont Tech sophomore keeper Dani Cochran(St. Johnsbury, VT) as Lyndon State went on to fire off another 23 shots (12 on goal) before the end of the game.
Less than four minutes into the second half, Sheridan would win the 50/50 ball from a Freshman Rachel Burt outside the penalty box, and blast a shot into the top right of the net for her second goal of the day.
Bussink, Makayla Epps and Brooke Breault would cap off the Hornets' tallies for the night, finishing the game with a score of 5-0.
Cochran made 19 saves on Lyndon States 40 shots (19 on goal) Johanna Sargent acquired the shutout for Lyndon State.
Next up: Vermont Tech Women's Soccer will play their home opener vs. Southern Maine CC on Saturday September 5th kick off at 1:00pm.
