Lady Saders Secure Win Vs. Appalachian Bible

Front Royal, VA- Lady Saders took on the Appalachian Bible College Warriors this past Saturday (Jan 25th).

The Crusaders got off to a hot start as jumping out to an early 15-2 lead.  The team kept up the impressive play for the entirety of the first half, as they headed to the locker room leading 37-11.  The Crusaders extended their large first half lead out scoring the opposing Warriors by seven in the second half, leading to a final score of 66-33. 

The Crusaders strong offensive effort was fueled by three players in particular: Kate Walz (Freshman), Annie McGraw (Sophomore) and Mary Heisler (Senior).  These three all scored double figures: Heisler finished with 12, McGraw tallied 20 and Walz led all scorers with, an impressive, 25.  The entire team played strong defense as well as being determined to win the rebound battle as they notched team totals of 19 steals and 54 rebounds.

Lady Crusaders travel away next, in a match-up against the Washington Adventist Shock on Tuesday, Jan 28th.
