Brandywine Eases To Victory Over Schuylkill

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine improved to 6-0 in Penn State University Athletic Conference volleyball following a three-set victory over Penn State Schuylkill on Tuesday night. The Lions, now 11-4 overall this season, won by scores of 25-3, 25-11, 25-13.

Seven players recorded at least one kill for Brandywine led by Nicolette Napoleon (Springfield, Pa./Penn Charter), who tallied 10. Halee Kusner (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) and Nikki Poissant (Aston, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) each registered eight and both Becca Civera (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester) and Hannah Sarafinas (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) collected four.

Civera also recorded six aces, while Kelsey Zober (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) and Sullivan Stark (Middletown, Del./William Penn) both accumulated four. Stark also dished out 35 assists and tallied a pair of digs.

Emily Battista (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) posted a team-best seven digs, while Civera and Poissant collected four each.

Brandywine opens a busy, four-match weekend at Penn State Greater Allegheny on Saturday. Brandywine will face Penn State Beaver at 2:00 pm and close out the day against GA at 4:00 pm.
