Widener Knocks Off Brandywine Men's Soccer 5-0

CHESTER, Pennsylvania -- Tori Remondelli scored four goals, including three during the first half and Widener defeated the Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team 5-0 on Wednesday night in Chester.

The Lions (2-5, 2-0 PSUAC) were limited to four shots on goal by the Pride. Junior Nabieu Sesay recorded a pair of shots, while senior net minder Nick Previti, who has claimed two consecutive PSUAC Goalkeeper of the Week awards, stopped five shots during 90 minutes of action.

Remondelli netted a hat trick during the opening 45 minutes as Widener led 3-0 at the half and tacked on his fourth goal during the 68th minute. Pride goalkeeper Dave Sousa stopped all four shots he faced to earn the shutout.

Penn State Brandywine looks to bounce back on Saturday when it returns to PSUAC play at Penn State Beaver. First kick is set for 2:00 pm.
