Shaquille Barrett of NHTI is the USCAA Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.  The sophomore from Texas netted a new collegiate career-high of 26 points for the Lynx as they defeated Northern Essex Community College by a score of 92-84. Barrett scored 18 of his 26 points in the second half in a close game between the Lynx and Knights. He also ripped down seven rebounds and had a pair of blocks.  This game was Barrett’s first start at NHTI after coming off the bench for the 12 games that he played last year.
