UNIONTOWN, PA- Led by All-American Kiel Lewis' 14 points the Gyrenes defeated the Shock 66-61 to advance to the semifinals. Dylan Fugate added 13 points and 10 rebounds. After trailing 34-32 at halftime, Ave Maria picked up their defensive intensity in the second half holding the Shockers to 25 percent (7-28) shooting from the field in the second half. All-American Marcus Coleman led Washington Adventist with 22 points, including 17 in the first half. Jaime Newton added 16 points, 7 assists, and 7 rebounds. Ave Maria will face the Rochester/Maine-Fort Kent winner Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the Main Arena. Washington Adventist will play in the consolation bracket Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at Maltho Arena.
