#1 Rochester College 72 - #5 Ave Maria University 67

UNIONTOWN, PA- In a game that featured an action packed second-half the top-seeded Rochester College held off No. 5 seed Ave Maria University 62-57.  With 3 seconds left All-American Dramel Hogan stepped to the line and hit a pair of free throws to seal the victory for the Warriors and clinch a National Championship game berth. Hogan led top seeded Rochester with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Fellow All-American Rick Doran added 18 points and 11 rebounds (7 offensive).

After trailing 50-40 with 5:59 left in the game, Ave Maria's trio of All-American's Matt Chattin, Kiel Lewis and Dylan Fugate combined for 15 of the Gyrenes final 17 points. A Fugate three-pointer with 17 seconds left brought Ave to within 1 point before Hogan's two free-throws closed out the victory. Chattin had 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals to pace the Gyrenes.

At halftime, Rochester College led 28-25.  Rochester capitalized on their second chance opportunities outscoring Ave Maria 20-7 in second-chance points. Ave Maria University will play Saturday in the Main Arena at 9:45 in the Men's Division I third-place game against the loser of Oakwood/Apprentice School.  Rochester College will attempt to capture its fifth National Championship against the winner of Oakwood/Apprentice School at 9:00 PM from the Main Arena.
