#5 Vermont Tech 70 - #8 Berkeley College NY 75

UNIONTOWN, PA – Fifth-seeded Vermont Tech's late string of three-point field goals by All-American Kevin Carr wasn't enough to get them the victory over eighth-seeded Berkeley College NY falling to the Knights, 75-70. Kaseem Williams led the Knights in scoring with 23 points, but the Knights roster proved its' depth with four players putting up double-digits in points. Fellow All-American Elijah Craig added 15 points and 15 rebounds for Berkeley.  

Vermont Tech was led by Alex Tyrell who had 28 points and shot 50 percent (4-8) from the three-point line. All-American Kevin Carr nailed 4 three-pointers over a one-minute period late in the game, but Berkeley's free-throw shooting stayed consistent till the final whistle. Carr finished with 25 points but shot only 31 percent from the floor (8-26). As a team Vermont Tech shot 35 percent from the floor.

Vermont Tech will face the College of St. Joseph Saint's in the third place game on Saturday at 11:45 AM in the Main Arena. Berkeley College NY will face defending Men's Division II National Champions Andrews University in the Men's Division II final on Saturday at 6:30 PM. These teams will be meeting for the first time since the first round at the 2011 USCAA National Basketball Championships, won by Andrews University 62-61 in overtime.
