Rochester College Leads After One Round Of USCAA Golf Nationals

STATE COLLEGE, PA. -- The Rochester College Warriors shot a 307 on Monday to lead after round one of the 2009 USCAA Golf National Championships held at the Penn State University Blue Course.

Rochester was paced by Alex Humphreys who shot a two-over-par 74 to be in a tie for second in the 73-person event.  Gary Turner was next for the Warriors with a 76 to be in a tie for fifth place.

Penn State Wilkes Barre was second out of 12 teams with a 315 followed by The Apprentice School with a 317.  Wilkes Barre was topped by Steve Sabol who joined Humphreys in the tie for second with a 74.  The Builders were headed by Kyle Radcliff who joined Turner in the tie for fifth with a 76.

The medalist after round one was Kevin Reiber from Penn State Mont Alto with a one-over-par 73.

The final round of the event is on Tuesday morning.
