USCAA Announces Host Site for 2007, 08 Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships

The USCAA Board of Directors has selected Southern Virginia University to host the 2007 and 2008 USCAA Cross Country National Championships.

Southern Virginia has been a part of the cross country championships since 1998. They have a history of excellence in the sport, posting nine combined national championships.

Southern Virginia continues their partnership with the USCAA as host with a spirit of continued growth and accomplishment in the championship's organization. Under the SVU administration, the tournament grew to 7 men's and women's teams in 2006. The USCAA is confident in Southern Virginia's ability as host and looks forward to assisting in making 2007's tournament the best yet.

The 2007 tournament will be held at Glen Maury Park which lies in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. The course runs through the foothills of the Blueridge Mountains and features what past participants have come to know as "The Hill." Tournament dates are projected for October 25 (banquet) and October 26 (race).

All member schools are invited to compete in the championship.

More details will be posted in the Championships section of the USCAA website in 2007.
