IN BRIEF: St. Mary of the Woods' Camille Ulery only went 1-4 on the day – but her hit came at the right time as she smacked a two-run RBI to end the game in the bottom of the seventh inning. The Pomeroy's remain undefeated and advance to tomorrow's national championship game at 12 pm.

HOW THEY SCORED: St. Mary's scored once in the first, and once in the second off a Marlee Yeager solo home run. Cleary would remain scoreless until the fifth, when they tied the game two runs. Catcher Dani Saunder's hit a single to left center to score Morgan Riche and Kelly Schram.

But the Pomeroys would be respond with a run of their own on an Emma Riffe single to right field, driving in Hollie Jones. Cleary found themselves down again, this time 3-2. The resilience of the Cleary Cougars shined this game. They scored another run in the top of the sixth on a Riche single, which allowed Brooke Edmonds to score. Cleary and St. Mary's were tied at 3-3. The Cougars then shut down the Pomeroy's in the bottom half of the sixth.

In the seventh inning, Cleary took the go-ahead lead Brook Edmon single to left center, scoring Sarah Hall. With two outs in the bottom of the seventh, Ulery hit a game-winning single to score Baylee Water and Jones.

BEHIND THE BOX SCORE: St. Mary's Stephanie Richardon earned the win. She pitched 2 complete innings, giving up one run on no walks and one strikeout. Cleary's Riley Thompson took the loss, who allowed two earned runs on two hits in 1 2/3 thirds inning of work.

NEXT UP: St. Mary's advances to the national championship tomorrow at 12 pm. They play the winner of the Penn State Brandywine vs. Carlow game this afternoon. Cleary awaits to play the winner of the Penn State Brandywine vs. Carlow game.
