Asheville, NC - The Daemen College Wildcats defeated the Carlow University Celtics 2-1 in the semi-finals of the 2012 USCAA women's soccer National Championship. The Wildcats advance to the National Championship game on the strength of an unassisted goal by USCAA All-American Alexa Amato in the 82:00 minute. Kelsey O'Leary added a goal for Daemen in the victory.

The Celtics were lead by Stephanie Dwinga, whose goal with fifteen minutes left in the first half evened up a score that would stay tied until Amato's goal. Daemen College to play the University of Maine-Fort Kent Bengals in the National Championship game. This meeting will mark the fourth match between the two teams this season.
