SVU's women won the title for the sixth-consecutive season and the eighth time in school history while Dine's women took second. The Dine men's team won the title while the Knights came in second for the second-straight year.
Junior Midge Sullivan of SVU took second overall (first in points) in the race by running a personal best of 26:02 in the 6k. Lindsay Calkins, the only runner from Lyndon State, was first overall with a time of 24:21.
Overall, the Knights took five of the top 12 spots with Sullivan in second, Jan Frodsham fourth (26:46), Catherine Pohm fifth (26:53), Shaina Brown eighth (27:29) and Bridget Gonzalez 12th (27:56). SVU finished with its best team score in championship history at 24, 31 better than second-place Dine.
After SVU and Dine, Warren Wilson was third, Columbia Union College was fourth and New Hampshire Technical Institute was fifth. The women's All-Americans were Calkins, Sullivan, Heather Searles (NHTI), Frodsham, Pohm, Amy Young (Penn State Dubois) and Venessa Jones (Columbia Union). It was Sullivan's second-straight year earning All-America honors.
